National Geographic SharkFest SharkCon Expo

Did you know that there is a National Geographic SHARKFEST SharkCon which occurs every year in Florida? This year, SharkCon is on July 15th and 16th at Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall in Tampa. This will be the ninth annual shark expo that offers everything from great vendors and speakers to cool exhibits and family activities.

If you didn’t know by now, National Geographic has their own version of Shark Week called Sharkfest. This is a four week event of shark-filled content. Every year there is new and exciting content to look forward to, 72 hours of it to be exact. You can stream the show on National Geographic, Nat Geo WILD, Disney+, and Hulu. You can also stream some of the content on ESPN2, Disney XD, and Disney Junior. This year the month long even started on July 2nd.

SharkCon Expo Lineup

If you want your shark content up close and personal, check out Sharkfest SharkCon in Tampa, Florida. This two day event offers adults and families something new and exciting to learn, see and create, pertaining to sharks. This year the two day even will include celebrities Louis Gossett Jr and Lea Thompson. The event will also have guest speakers and ocean experts like Dr. David Gallo. If you would like to learn more about the Titanic, Dr. Gallo will have all the answers for you.

Dr. Yannis Papastamatiou who is a shark behavioral ecologists, will also attend SharkCon. Paul Coxx who is the CEO of Shark Trust, based in UK, will also be one of the speakers at the shark convention. His organization has been helping spread shark awareness and conservation for 25 years. From protecting vulnerable species, to providing solutions for responsible trade, and preventing overfishing, the organization does this and much more. The founder of Sharks4Kids, Jullian, will also attend SharkCon. Her free online shark content can be used by teachers and students to learn more about sharks.

If you want to learn more about Sharks4Kids and sharks in general, you need to visit SharkFest SharkCon 2023. The two day event will be held from 9am to 5pm at Expo Hall at 4800 US-301, Tampa, FL 33610. Tickets for the expo are $4.95 for children 3-14 years of age and $24.95 for adults, one day pass. Tickets for Jaws 3D bundle and Lea Thompson meet and greet are sold separately.
